Dennis Diamond was the driving force who got most of the logistics done, so many thanks to him. Also along were Dave Williams, Evan Soukas and John Campbell.
John was volunteering at the Aquarium that day, and we tried to go see him in the pools. But he was not in one that had any accessible windows so our plan of bothering him while he was cleaning the tank was foiled!
The weekend was a big success. We talked to quite a few people promoting GUE and Project Baseline. Dennis was a big hit with the kids, filling SMBs from a set of doubles. I had a very good time talking to people and seeing all the people I had not seen in the community for some time. There was Shirley and Steve from Nanaimo Dive Outfitters, John DeBoek from Browning Pass Hideaway, Bill Coltart from Pacific Pro Dive, Peter Meiras from Rendezvous Dive Charter, Jan from Sea Dragon Charters, and George from Dive and Sea. It was really great to catch up with everyone!
